An Artist TalkA GAIA Arts and Culture Club Event Organized by GAIA AFRICA in collaboration with Soto Gallery

As part of our ongoing celebration of International Women's Month, GAIA AFRICA, in collaboration with Soto Gallery, presents "Her Canvas, Her Voice: Celebrating Women in Art." This Artist talk will feature a distinguished guest artist who explores intersections of cultural identity, empowerment, social justice, and socio-political dynamics. The event is designed to spotlight the creative expression of women artists, offering a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation of artistic narratives shaped by lived experiences.


Event Objectives

  • Showcase the Artist: Who is she, how did she get started as an artist and what inspires her work?
  • Creative Journeys: Highlight the guest artist's creative process through a curated presentation of selected artworks.
  • Explore Artistic Themes: Delve into the inspirations, challenges, and motivations behind the art.
  • Engage and Empower: Facilitate meaningful conversations between the artist and an engaged audience.
  • Provide better insight into the Artist and offer an opportunity for Artist to sell some of her available work if she desires to do this.
  • Celebrate Women in Art: Amplify the voices and contributions of women in the contemporary art scene.
