Dr. Joachim Adebayo Adenusi is a highly respected strategic risk leader with a passion for organisation performance management culture, effective crisis management and good governance. Holding a Ph.D. in Leadership with respect to security and development from King’s College, London.

Joachim has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Lagos, postgraduate diploma in Actuarial Science at The Cass Business School, London, and a master’s in risk management from Glasgow Caledonia University, Scotland.

He is a Chartered Insurer with The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK, he is a certified fellow, and trainer of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) the UK, with over 25 years of risk, governance, and strategic management experience, spanning financial services, public and health sectors, manufacturing, consulting, and academia.

Joachim Adenusi is a highly accomplished and versatile Board Level risk and governance specialist with over 20 years of industry experience across an extensive range of commercial and public sector projects and endeavours. A former director of the UK Institute of Risk Management and technical adviser to the US Largest Risk Association (RIMS). He has exceptional understanding of all international commercial processes as developed over a career within highly reputable organisations. Superb relationship-building skills, evidenced by extensive work in consultative work carried out as Managing Partner of IRMS Ltd (UK) and Conrad Clark Nig Ltd, operating across two continents and working with partners across global regions and a range of industries. A highly practical yet strategic practitioner, with hands-on experience in assisting organisations to drive compliance and risk management in line with the regulatory requirements of multiple bodies and institutions. He has demonstrable commercial and business development capabilities, having co-founded organisations and achieving a good high net worth return on investment.

He is an adjoint professor working at the following universities, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, University of St. Thomas, Minnesota, USA, and Southampton University, UK. He won the UK Risk Manager of the year in 2009 and other multiple European Awards. He is an inspirational coach, storyteller, inventor, and conference speaker.
